It is unique in that it uses the latest technology to identify the siren. Each manufacturer of sirens uses a unique frequency and time profile for their siren. The
PreSys SP-1 has a self teaching program that allows the SP-1 to learn up to four siren patterns. As the desired siren is received by the SP-1 it programs into memory both the frequency and time coordinates as the siren is played.
These frequency/time profiles can not be duplicated by street sounds, thereby insuring accuracy and safety. No other system can offer this assurance for safety and reliability
Unlike optical systems which require the addition of expensive light sources on each vehicle, your existing siren can be programmed into the SP-1. Additionally the SP-1
detection units are less costly than optical detectors and the sound detectors of the SP-1 do not require Line of Sight like some systems.
1. You can select the sirens that will activate your Preemptive System. 2. It uses a Windows based system. 3. It will lock onto the first Emergency Siren and not
accept a second Siren direction until the first has passed the intersection. 4. It provides a record of the siren type, direction, time and date. Up to 10,000 records.
5. Priority of direction is maintained in the event of two emergency vehicles approaching at the same time.
Detection Performance:
The SP-1 is capable of activation at a distance of 1500 feet. This detection distance may be programmed to a shorter distance.
Electrical :
The optional NEMA-2 enclosure has its own 24 volt power supply which operates from a 110 or 220 volt 50/60 cycle power source. The system uses less than 12 Watts of power.
110 - 220 Voltage: The NEMA-2 enclosure comes wired for 110 or 220 volt. Field changeable.
Fused: a 0.5 amp fuse protects against voltage spikes
Environmental:
SP-1 operates from 20 F to + 165F
Physical:
Enclosure: SP-1 may be supplied with or without the optional NEMA-2 Enclosure
